Its distinctive character reflects the extraordinary coffee-growing heritage and biodiversity of the region.\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\nThe coffee is produced by more than 150 smallholder farmers working in close collaboration with Sweet Plus Coffee, a company founded by Fitsum Bekere. Coffee grows within an agroforestry system, where shade trees and other crops help protect the soil, preserve biodiversity and maintain a healthy agricultural ecosystem.\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\nFitsum is deeply committed to producing exceptional coffee while respecting the environment and supporting the communities who depend on it. Through Sweet Plus Coffee, he promotes agricultural training, responsible farming practices and greater opportunities for smallholder producers, combining traditional knowledge with a vision for a more sustainable future.\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\nThis coffee is also part of the Slow Food Coffee Coalition, an international network connecting producers, roasters and coffee enthusiasts who share a commitment to biodiversity, sustainability and a fairer coffee supply chain.\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\nOur relationship with Fitsum began through conversations about his coffee and his approach to farming.
