OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe great coffee begins with the way it is grown.
We partner with small producers dedicated to regenerative farming practices that build soil health, protect biodiversity and respect the ecosystems where coffee grows.
For us, these choices are part of coffee quality. We look for exceptional coffees, but also for producers whose farming practices represent the kind of agriculture we want to support.
Our role as roasters is to connect these producers with the people who drink their coffee.
We carefully select their coffees and develop a dedicated roast profile for each one, bringing out the flavours shaped by its origin, variety, processing method and farming practices. We share what lies behind each coffee: who grows it, where it comes from and how it is produced.
By doing this, we give people the opportunity to support these producers through something as simple as choosing which coffee to drink.
Because choosing a coffee also means choosing the kind of agriculture we want to support.
REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE
Regenerative agriculture goes beyond sustaining the land. It aims to improve it over time by rebuilding soil health, increasing biodiversity and creating more resilient farming systems.
In coffee farming, this can mean keeping the soil covered, returning organic matter produced by the farm back to the ground, growing coffee alongside other plants and trees where conditions allow, and disturbing the soil as little as possible. These practices help protect soil structure and biological activity, allowing natural processes to continually rebuild fertility.
There is no single model that works everywhere. Climate, landscape and local conditions are different from one coffee-growing region to another. What matters to us is supporting producers who work with these natural processes rather than against them.
These are the farming practices we want to support through the coffees we choose.
