Coffee Story

Brazilian Arabica

This single-origin coffee comes from a farm owned and managed by Gabriela Baracat Sanchez, a fourth-generation coffee producer and agronomist.

Her coffee is the result of carefully selected, sun-dried beans, producing a cup with a delicate aroma, creamy texture, and full body. The flavor is dominated by notes of chocolate and hazelnut, with a sweet finish reminiscent of ripe cherry.

We chose this coffee because the farm is certified for its excellent regenerative agriculture practices by the UK-based certification body Regenagri.

What is Regenagri?

Regenagri is an international regenerative agriculture program aimed at ensuring soil health and the prosperity of those who depend on it. It supports farms and organizations transitioning to holistic farming by improving soil health, encouraging biodiversity, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and sequestering CO₂. Regenagri also offers farmers the opportunity to access additional funding through carbon credit markets and environmental subsidies.

By supporting regenerative agriculture, we contribute to the regeneration of our planet and sustainably secure the future of agricultural products and their supply chains.

Variety – Red Catuai

Red Catuai is a Coffea arabica variety developed in Brazil in the 1950s through a cross between Mundo Novo and Caturra. Officially selected by the Agronomic Institute of Campinas, this variety is particularly valued for its adaptability and for striking a good balance between cup quality and agricultural productivity. Red Catuai is known for producing a well-balanced cup, with medium body, mild acidity, and a sweet, smooth aromatic profile.

Coffee Story

Indian Fine Robusta

Nestled in the foothills of the Western Ghats, Craigmore Tinyspot is a family-run coffee plantation located in the rolling hills of Coorg, Karnataka. With three generations of farming experience, the estate is committed to producing sustainable coffee grown under the heavy natural shade of native jungle trees found in the Western Ghats.

The biodiversity on the farm is a testament to these sustainable practices. The estate is home to over 135 recorded species of birds, along with a wide range of insects, wild elephants, civet cats, Malabar squirrels, wild boars, spotted deer, and the occasional wild cat.

Robusta coffees at Craigmore Tinyspot are grown at an elevation of 1,000 meters, with an average annual rainfall of around 60 inches. The entire estate is completely free from pesticides, herbicides, and weedicides. Over recent years, the farm has transitioned toward regenerative agricultural practices, focusing on protecting soil health and increasing carbon sequestration. This approach fosters beneficial bacteria and fungi in the soil, which are essential for sustaining plant health and long-term productivity.

Variety – Old Peridinia

Old Peridinia is a traditional Robusta selection, historically grown in Karnataka, southern India. Its origins are linked to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens in Sri Lanka. Valued for its quality potential, it can develop a distinctive cup character through careful harvesting and processing.
