COFFEE STORY
This exceptional Geisha comes from Finca Santa Lucia, a family-run coffee farm in Colombia managed by Yiver Vargas and her family. Grown at high altitude, in a microclimate characterised by significant differences between day and night temperatures, this coffee offers an elegant and delicate cup, with floral notes of jasmine, the sweetness of vanilla and a smooth brown sugar finish.
Beyond the quality of her coffee, Yiver is deeply committed to supporting women in coffee production. Through her involvement with the International Women's Coffee Alliance (IWCA), she works to promote greater opportunities, recognition and equality for women across the coffee industry.
Finca Santa Lucia is also part of the Slow Food Coffee Coalition, an international network bringing together producers, roasters and coffee enthusiasts who share a commitment to a more sustainable and equitable coffee supply chain.
We first met Yiver at the World of Coffee in Copenhagen and have since had the opportunity to meet her son and exchange ideas about regenerative agriculture, agroforestry and the importance of biodiversity in coffee farming.
For us, this coffee represents more than an exceptional variety. It reflects the value of knowing the people behind the coffee, understanding their work and building meaningful relationships with producers who share our vision for the future of coffee.
